What Is Cellfina™?
Cellfina™ is a one-time treatment designed to eliminate cellulite for up to two years. Typically, Cellfina™ treatment takes about one hour and is performed using a local anesthetic.
Cellulite is caused by fibrous bands that pull the skin down into the individual depressions. A needle-sized blade from the Cellfina™ handpiece is inserted into the skin and severs these connective bands (fiber strands) from the skin. Once the fiber strands are cut, it releases the dimples and smoothes out the cellulite. This process is similar to a rubber band under tension; once it has been released, the skin will bounce back up and smooth itself out.
