The DiamondGlow® facial is a corrective dermabrasion treatment that exfoliates, extracts, and nourishes for a deep cleanse and immediate glow.

What Is DiamondGlow®?

DiamondGlow® is a dermabrasion treatment that gently removes the top layer of skin while delivering topical medical-grade serums for intense brightening, cleansing, and nourishment. Unlike other water-based facials, DiamondGlow® utilizes genuine, crushed diamonds in the tips of the device’s handpiece to gently but effectively exfoliate dead skin, treat uneven tone, and smooth imperfections.

If you want an all-in-one treatment for dull, congested, dry, and uneven skin tone, DiamondGlow® might be for you. Candidates for DiamondGlow® should be healthy adults with adequate skin quality. Tell your DiamondGlow® provider if you are pregnant or lactating, as well as any topical medications (such as retinol) before use.

DiamondGlow® is safe for all skin tones, including dark skin. Additionally, DiamondGlow® is FDA-approved for acne-prone skin.

What Is the DiamondGlow® Procedure?

Your aesthetician will begin treatment by cleansing your skin of makeup and lotions. Next, they will set up your customized experience using one of the 5 SkinMedica® serums and the specific exfoliating diamond head.

They will then pass the DiamondGlow® handpiece across your face, focusing on problem areas and adjusting the diamond head as needed. The device simultaneously exfoliates and removes oil, dirt, and sebum from pores, so serum is infused into the skin at specific intervals. Once your pores are cleansed and open, the serum is administered sequentially to ensure optimum absorption. Other similar facial devices may administer serum too quickly, which is why DiamondGlow®’s slower pulses provide ideal nourishment.

As your provider passes the device across the face, under the eyes, lips, and neck, the slight pressure from the facial also increases lymphatic drainage, reducing puffiness and toxins.

How to Customize Your DiamondGlow® Procedure

DiamondGlow® is intended to be fully customized to help patients precisely address their needs. The six diamond exfoliating tips each allow your provider to use the ideal depth and intensity for maximum efficacy for every skin type.

What Is Recovery Like After a DiamondGlow® Treatment?

DiamondGlow® is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that has no recovery or downtime. Following your facial, your skin may feel slightly sensitive and have a reddish hue. This is normal and is an effect of the intensive exfoliating process paired with increased circulation during treatment. Any redness or skin sensitivity should subside shortly after your procedure.

DiamondGlow® facials are gentle enough that many patients schedule their 30-minute treatments during their lunch breaks, as no aftercare is required.

How Long Do DiamondGlow® Results Last?

Results will vary depending on the extent of revision, the type of skin concern, and the number of treatments you have. Many patients can enjoy their glowing, dewy skin following a DiamondGlow® treatment for about eight weeks.

The nature of your results will depend on the treatment plan that your DiamondGlow® provider has created for you. Most patients are recommended to schedule their initial appointment once every two weeks for three sessions and then maintenance appointments every 4-6 weeks.

  • The cost of DiamondGlow® treatments will vary, depending on the extent of your treatment, your specific plan, and the number of recommended treatments. Additionally, we offer DiamondGlow® Elite, Signature, and Mini packages, which will differ in price.

    Once your treatment plan has been created, your DiamondGlow® aesthetician will be happy to provide you with an accurate cost estimate.

  • No. DiamondGlow® deeply exfoliates and extracts but it is not uncomfortable. You may feel a slight scratching sensation from the exfoliating head and a minor tugging from the extractions, but the treatment is not painful.

    Most patients find the 30-minute treatment to be comfortable and relaxing.

  • Each treatment has different benefits, and the choice will depend on what you’re looking for in your facial. The HydraFacial® uses chemical exfoliants rather than a physical exfoliant, like the DiamondGlow®. The HydraFacial®, while effective for more minor hydration and purifying concerns, is considered a more gentle treatment. DiamondGlow® is corrective, so it’s best for more moderate skin concerns.
