Dr. Analise Anderson is a highly trained, award-winning plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body.

Known for her warmth and ability to put patients at ease, Dr. Anderson upholds Cohn Plastic Surgery’s dedication to blending wellness and aesthetics and making sure her patients feel heard and understood. This is essential as she helps her patients explore their options to achieve their aesthetic and functional goals.

Meet Dr. Analise Thomas Anderson

Combining cutting-edge techniques with the highest safety standards, Dr. Anderson ensures that she takes the time to optimize a patient’s general health before and after surgery, which helps build long-lasting relationships with her patients.

As a native of the South, Dr. Anderson understands the heartbeat of the area and the desires of her patients coming from her community. She strives to provide every patient with the care of empathy that she would want for herself and her family.

She is thrilled to be putting down roots and serving the Birmingham community. She resides in Homewood with her husband Patrick, their daughter, and their two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, cooking, and cocktails.

Early Beginnings

- She received her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of North Carolina — Chapel Hill, NC
  - B.S in Biology, B.A. in Spanish, Minor in Chemistry
  - Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and a UNC Public Service Scholar
  - While at UNC, she was honored with numerous awards and grants, including the Gravely Family Study Abroad Fellowship, the UNC Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, the Sterling Stoudemire Certificate for Excellence in Spanish, and the Dean’s List all semesters
- She received her Doctorate in Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine — Nashville
  - It was here that she discovered her passion for plastic surgery
  - Served as director of Vanderbilt Educational Garden Initiative (VEGI), a group that planted and maintained community gardens in underserved areas
  - Volunteered as a social worker and physician in training
Dr. Anderson completed a highly competitive integrated plastic surgery residency training at Duke University Medical Center. She excelled in clinical and technical skills, receiving numerous recognitions, including the Duke Star Service Award, Best Microsurgical Anastomosis Award, and Duke Team Excellence Award.

After this six-year residency, she completed the Bruce Connell, M.D. Endowed Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and with Dr. James C. Grotting (past chairman of the American Board of Plastic Surgery), focusing for an additional year on aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Anderson specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery of the face, breast, and body and general reconstructive plastic surgery. As a female plastic surgeon, she has a particular interest in breast reconstruction as she thoroughly enjoys the unique opportunity to be a part of the process that makes these remarkable women feel whole again.

She aims to deliver lasting, natural outcomes and performs operations including breast augmentation and lift, Mommy Makeover surgery, tummy tuck surgery, liposuction, facelift surgery, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), brow lift surgery, and rhinoplasty (nose surgery). Dr. Anderson also offers non-surgical treatments, including BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and dermal fillers.

Dedicated to outreach and humanitarian work, Dr. Anderson helped establish the UNC chapter of Global Medical Brigades and has traveled to Honduras twice on medical mission trips.
